    • This default way this cable is soldered is with the cold and ground on the TRS side merged to sleeve on the unbalanced TS side. This is for a mono balanced to mono unbalanced application.



    The cable can be soldered w/ the ground from the TRS "floated" (which means it is clipped/removed) on the TS side which may reduce noise in certain applications.

    Alternatively, for a stereo to mono application, the cable can be soldered w/ the hot and cold from the TRS merged to the Tip on the TS side.
