The Solid State Logic Comp Harrison 500 Series Compressor is a very flexible dynamics processor based on the classic Harrison feed-forward design and offered in 500 Series format. From a transparent leveler on guitars and vocals—using a 1:2 ratio and fast release and applying 2 or 3 dB of gain reduction—to making a sizzling compressed drum and bass track—slamming the ratio in combination with a slow release—the Comp 500 Series module delivers the warm, rich Harrison tone that helped create some of the most iconic albums of the '70s and '80s.
