Description

The nickel Neumann KK 105 U is the supercardioid condenser capsule of the famed Neumann KMS105 vocal microphone outfitted with a universal twist-on mechanism that allows you to use it with a wide variety of handheld wireless transmitter mics from Shure, Lectrosonics, and more that support interchangeable capsules. The KK 105 U accurately reproduces vocals with excellent transparency and range, while the supercardioid polar pattern exhibits outstanding rejection of off-axis and rear sound, helping to reduce feedback—especially when sound reinforcement equipment is used.

Note that this version of the capsule is not compatible with Sennheiser handheld transmitters, please use the KK 105 S instead.

  • Sony
  • Lectrosonics
  • MIPRO ACT

Studio-Quality Supercardioid Capsule
With a built-in roll off filter and smooth 80 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response, the KK 105 U condenser capsule yields a transparent vocal sound with an airy top-end, providing studio-quality sound for live performances. The supercardioid polar pattern effectively minimizes noise and ambiance at the off-axis sections of the microphone without coloration, helping to focus audio capture tightly on the performer and keep feedback from monitors under control.

Stage-Ready Performance
The capsule can handle SPLs up to 150 dB with a 0.5% total harmonic distortion and up to 155 dB with 3% THD. The integrated shockmount isolates the mic capsule from handling noise, while the built-in pop protector helps to reduce plosive sounds and vocal pops.
