The RME ADI-2/4 Pro SE is, at its core, a top-of-the-line AD/DA converter. That said, it offers much more than that. For starters, it's one of the most versatile AD/DA converters out there. You can use it as a reference-quality front end and headphone amp for your iOS device, as a front end for measurement systems up to a 768kHz sample rate, as a multiformat converter, or as an S/PDIF or an ADAT playback system. What's more, the ADI-2/4 offers DSD compatibility and a built-in phono preamp for high-level vinyl digitizing. You'll appreciate the sheer quality of this converter's Extreme Power dual headphone amplifier, and RME's legendary SteadyClock FS is onboard for unprecedented jitter immunity. An easy-to-read IPS panel, built-in DSP effects, RME's indispensable DigiCheck tool, and a powerful multi-remote control are also included, as is a super-low-noise 4.4mm Pentaconn-balanced connector for IEMs and a trigger-out function for powering external devices on and off. Discerning listeners searching for a feature-laden AD/DA converter with hyper-transparent sound will find everything they're looking for in the RME ADI-2/4 Pro SE.

A jack of all trades and a master of them all
Simply put, the RME ADI-2/4 Pro SE is a do-it-all device. This 2-in/4-out AD/DA converter includes two servo-balanced inputs on combo XLR/TRS jacks; two separate balanced and unbalanced outputs on XLR and TRS; and two Extreme Power headphone outputs, which include a separate Pentaconn-balanced connector for IEMs. The ADI-2/4 Pro SE also supports the full gamut of digital formats, including optical S/PDIF I/O, which is also compatible with ADAT, plus coaxial S/PDIF and AES I/O. You also get balanced line and headphone outputs that can be used simultaneously even with different sources or signals. You also get class-compliant USB 2.0 connectivity, which works with macOS, Windows, Linux, and iOS. To top it off, the ADI-2/4 Pro SE offers sublime sound quality, up to 32-bit/768kHz, with an impressive 123dBA signal-to-noise ratio. And thanks to RME's state-of-the-art SteadyClock FS technology, you'll experience jitter-free sound reproduction.

Offers reference-quality headphone listening
If you shell out for top-dollar headphones, you need a headphone amplifier worthy of what you plug into it. Well, the RME ADI-2/4 Pro SE's Extreme Power headphone amplifier deliver the goods. This dual headphone amp is aptly named, pushing out 2.1 watts unbalanced and 3.4 watts balanced at 32 ohms, per channel. Beyond that, the ADI-2/4 Pro SE includes a dedicated IEM mode that provides additional power states for full compatibility. The ADI-2/4 Pro SE's feature-packed headphone outputs boast mute relay, overcurrent detection, DC protection, and plug detection, along with DSP control that provides auto-assigning volume, volume ramp-up, auto-balanced mode, dual-phones mode, user interaction at overload detection, and low-impedance level-meter auto-scaling.

Includes a myriad of advanced features
You'll appreciate the convenience of the unit's trigger-out function, which provides a 12V switching signal via a 3.5mm mono jack plug, enabling you to switch external devices on and off. A universal DC input socket accepts voltages from 9.5 volts up to 15 volts. A high-efficiency (>90%) internal switching regulator prevents internal noise by operating above audible frequencies. You also get built-in MM (Moving Magnet) compatibility, which allows you to connect the ADI-2/4 Pro SE to a turntable without an external preamplifier, with input impedance and RIAA equalization fully accounted for. Powerful built-in DSP gives you access to a 5-band parametric EQ, fast bass and treble adjustment, crossfeed, and loudness sound control. RME's DigiCheck testing software is also included.
